Flora on the Dunes and around Llyn Maelog
|
The
sand dunes have a special beauty of their own. From the month of
May, they are adorned with a variety of wild flowers. Wild pansy,
sea holly and sea spurge grow among the marram grass.
In the dune
slacks, near the A4080 main road, wild orchids show their beauty
in July.

The dunes
are rich with birdlife. Skylarks, stonechats, swifts, Goldfinch,
Greenfinch etc. The lake also attracts
many birds, so there is plenty to occupy the keen birdwatcher.
